Jury's Top 50 Award - Salon International 2008

Stacey's painting "Above Aspen" was chosen as one of the Jury's Top Fifty paintings at the 2008 Salon International Show at the Greenhouse Gallery of Fine Art in San Antonio, Texas. The show is a project of the International Museum of Contemporary Masters, and includes 300 paintings by top representational painters. Colorado Governor's Invitational Art Show

Estes Park Plein Air 2007

Beauty and inspiration go hand-in-hand when painters come to the Estes Valley and the Northern Rockies to paint the parks this summer. 75 artists from across the nation to come together to paint on-location from Aug. 4 through 24, choosing what locations and moment in time to paint, including Rocky Mountain National Park and forest lands, St. Vrain and Big Thompson River canyons, views along the Peak to Peak Scenic Highway, and people and places in Estes Park.
Once the sanctioned painting period ends on Friday August 24, an exhibition and sale of the fresh new works will be held Aug. 25 through Sept. 30, at the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park Fine Art Gallery, Earthwood Collections, and the Link Gallery, L.L.C. in Estes Park, CO.
Award of Excellence - OPA 16th National Exhibition
Stacey's painting "First Light" was awarded the Utrecht Award of Excellence at the Oil Painters of America 2007 National Exhibition at Whistle Pik Galleries in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Stacey has been chosen to participate in the Oil Painters of America's 15th National Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils. Oil Painters of America is the largest organization in the United States dedicated to preserving and promoting excellence in representational oil paintings. The exhibition at Whistle Pik Galleries will showcase many of the finest oil painters who specialize in traditional, representational fine art. The opening weekend is for both the artist and collector, and OPA encourages all art lovers to take the time to visit and take part in this very special weekend.

Into the Heart of the Southwest: 20 Painters Interpret Forbes Trinchera Ranch

In August 2006, 20 selected artists converged on the 250 square mile Forbes Trinchera Ranch in Southern Colorado. Sponsored by Forbes Galleries and American Artist Magazine, the artists painted the pristine mountains and valleys, and immersed themselves in nine days of paint and commeraderie. With sketches, photos, plein air studies and great memories the artists headed home to create a full body of work to submit to Steve Doherty, American Artist Magazine Editor-in-Chief, for possible inclusion in a major article for American Artist's March 2007 issue and then sent to the Curator of Forbes Galleries to select for the upcoming Exhibition in March.
Southwest Art Magazine - "21 Under 31: The Next Generation"

Stacey has been chosen as one of Southwest Art Magazine's "21 Under 31" young artists to watch in the September 2006 issue of the magazine.
Forbes Trinchera Ranch Residency
Location: Trinchera Ranch - Fort Garland, Colorado

American Artist has chosen Stacey as one of sixteen artists invited to paint the Forbes Trinchera Ranch near Durango, Colorado. The artists will spend nine days at the ranch, painting and gathering reference material. Artwork produced during the residency will then be featured in an issue of American Artist, and included in an exhibit at the FORBES Galleries in New York City.
